HISTORY
In Quechua it's name is Kashamarka, that means 'village of thorns'; and was founded by San Antonio; in northern Peru, capital of the Department and the Province of Cajamarca, located at 2720 m in the Cordillera de los Andes, in the mountains north of the country.
Cajamarca was inhabited before the Inca era, during this era was a major population center.
